FAMILIES FIRST

Serves addicted single head of household mothers with up to two dependent children, under 10 years of age, in their care. The physical structure is a fully furnished quad-plex apartment building that can house up to seven recovering female addicts and 14 children. Two families shared an apartment. Families First is a blended model of substance abuse recovery work and family preservation/reunification, which addresses the issues of the mother's substance abuse and relapse prevention with the demands of parenting.
